The CD4541 is a versatile CMOS programmable timer IC designed to operate at high voltages (up to 20V) and housed in a 14-pin DIP package. This IC features a 16-stage binary counter, an oscillator driven by external RC components (two resistors and one capacitor), an automatic power-on reset circuit, and output control logic. The counter increments on positive clock edges and can be reset via the MASTER RESET input.
The timer outputs are available at the Q or Q\ terminals from the 8th, 10th, 13th, or 16th counter stage, selectable through time select inputs A and B. It offers two output modes, configurable via the MODE input (pin 10). Timing initialization is achieved by setting the AUTO RESET input (pin 5) to logic "0" and powering on the IC.
This IC is ideal for precision timing applications requiring programmable intervals and flexible output configurations.
