Description:
The CD4518 is a versatile 4-stage synchronous counter IC belonging to the CD4x Series, featuring two identical counters. Each counter is implemented using D-type flip-flops and offers interchangeable CLOCK and ENABLE inputs, allowing the counter to increment on both positive-going or negative-going clock transitions. This flexibility makes it ideal for various counting applications, including multistage counting and frequency division. The counters can be reset via the RESET inputs, and for cascading in ripple mode, the Q4 output of the first counter is connected to the ENABLE input of the next counter.
This device is available in several 16-lead package options, making it adaptable to different design requirements.
Key Features:
Dual 4-Stage Synchronous Counters for efficient counting operations
