Description:
The MQ-7 gas sensor is a highly sensitive device used to detect carbon monoxide (CO). Its sensitive material is SnO₂, which exhibits lower conductivity in clean air. The sensor operates through a cyclic high and low-temperature method. At low temperatures (heated by 1.5V), it effectively detects CO gas. At high temperatures (heated by 5.0V), it cleans other gases adsorbed during the detection phase. As CO concentration increases, the sensor’s conductivity increases proportionally.

The MQ-7 provides a simple way to convert the change in conductivity into an output signal corresponding to the CO gas concentration.
