Description:
The ACS712 Current Sensor Module (5A version) is designed to accurately measure both AC and DC currents within a range of -5A to +5A. It is based on the ACS712 sensor, which provides an analog output that is proportional to the detected current. This sensor is widely used in applications like over-current protection circuits, battery chargers, switching mode power supplies, digital watt meters, and programmable current sources. The module features a low-noise analog signal path and provides precise measurements with stability.

  • Current Measurement Range: -5A to +5A

  • Sensitivity: 100mV/A (185mV/A output sensitivity)

  • Supply Voltage: 4.5V to 5.5V DC

  • Output Voltage Proportional to AC/DC Current

  • Low-noise analog signal path

  • 5 µs output rise time in response to step input current

  • Extremely stable output offset voltage

  • Near-zero magnetic hysteresis

  • Factory-trimmed for accuracy

  • 2.1 kV RMS minimum isolation voltage between pins 1-4 and pins 5-8

  • Small footprint with low-profile SOIC8 package

  • Ratio metric output from the supply voltage

  • Single-supply operation at 5.0V
