Description:
The MQ2 Gas Sensor is a Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) type gas sensor designed to detect gases such as Methane, Butane, LPG, Smoke, Alcohol, Propane, Hydrogen, and Carbon Monoxide. The sensor works by detecting changes in the resistance of the sensing material when it comes into contact with gas molecules. These sensors are commonly known as chemiresistors.

The MQ2 sensor module operates at a 5V DC supply and consumes about 800mW of power. It provides both analog and digital outputs, and the sensitivity of the digital output pin can be adjusted using an onboard potentiometer. The module is ideal for applications like gas leak detection in homes, industrial monitoring, and safety devices.
