Description: The I2C Module integrates a PCF8574 I2C chip that converts I2C serial data into parallel data for controlling an LCD display. This makes it easier to interface with an LCD using only two wires, simplifying your projects. The module comes with a default I2C address of either 0x27 or 0x3F, depending on the version. To determine the correct address, check the black I2C adaptor board on the underside of the module. If there are three sets of pads labeled A0, A1, and A2, the default address will be 0x3F. Otherwise, the default address will be 0x27.
The module also features a contrast adjustment potentiometer located on the underside of the display, which may require adjustment for optimal text visibility.
Features:
Operating Voltage: 5V
Backlight and Contrast Adjustment: Adjustable via a potentiometer
Control: Serial I2C control of the LCD using PCF8574
Interface: Comes with 2 I2C interfaces that can be connected by Dupont lines or dedicated I2C cables
Compatibility: Suitable for 16x2 LCD displays
Interface Type: IIC/I2C/TWI/SPI Serial Interface
Wiring: Uses only two wires for communication, simplifying connections
Applications:
Easy interface for adding displays to microcontroller projects
Reduces the number of pins required for controlling an LCD
Useful in projects where space and simplicity are important
