Description:

The LM7806 is a positive linear voltage regulator that delivers a stable 6V DC output with a current capacity ranging from 1A to 1.5A. It is part of the popular LM78xx series and is packaged in the standard TO-220 form factor, making it suitable for a wide range of electronic circuits and power supplies.

Built-in protection features such as short circuit protection, thermal overload shutdown, and safe operating area compensation ensure reliable performance and durability under demanding conditions. To maintain a stable 6V output, the input voltage must be at least 2V higher, i.e., minimum 8V DC.

Due to potential heat dissipation, especially under high load, a proper heatsink is strongly recommended.
